    This position is an on-site liaison for Radiologists, Physicians and Team Members.


    A day in the life of a Site PACs QC Coordinator at Hackensack Meriidan can be described as follows:

    • Coordinates all PACs related equipment maintenance and service to assure minimal down time
    • Maintains log of all service issues
    • Works in concert with OEM service engineers to assure maximal uptime
    • Trouble shoots equipment issues in order to provide OEM with sufficient information
    • Exhibits positive interpersonal skills, is polite and courteous
    • Interacts well with customers and team members; fulfills commitments as required
    • Demonstrates ability to clearly articulate information to IT, Physicians, Vendors and team members as needed both verbally and in writing
    • Appropriately escalates issues to Management and IT
    • Adapts to changing conditions and situations and is able to re prioritize tasks as necessary
    • Accepts and applies constructive criticism and suggestions
    • Performs system administration on PACs
    • Manages files, directories and user accounts
    • Monitors backup process
    • Supports workflow, mapping and troubleshoots issues
    • Performs file management activities including archival, re-org, or deletion of aged or in-active data within FIC
    • Assures that structured reports are attached to each file and all studies are merged
    • Serves as source of information as ‘on-site PACs person’
    • Provides insight into emerging Imaging IT technologies
    • Provides support to Radiologist and Physicians with PACs issues/questions when necessary
    • Trouble shoots common technical problems
    • Is available for upgrades on PACs system with regard to ‘downtime’
    • Works with Super users to keep them current with anything new and mini-refreshers in order to provide vacation coverage
    • Regularly assists ‘team members’ in area of expertise
    • Provide technical support in all areas including Pain management, Endo, Portables, Fluoroscopy and General Radiography when needed


    • Bachelor's degree preferably in Information Technology/Math/Computer Science or related field and/or Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program
    • IT background strongly preferred, with knowledge of PACS and Powerscribe 360 or Previous Radiology Technologist experience preferred
    • Candidate with Radiology background, should have NJDEP and ARRT registry
    • A minimum of 2-5 years experience in an Information Technology department in a similar role and/or as a Radiology Technologist that has knowledge of the systems this position will support
    • Previous healthcare experience preferred
    • Must have excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
