Job Description:
* Lead the process of compiling, analyzing, designing, testing and prioritizing system design components and implementation.
* Requires the candidate's knowledge of the theory and practice of systems analysis, systems design, and systems implementation.
Tasks include data gathering and analysis; systems design and implementation; logical design; detailed design; ensuring data security in the design; and system evaluation, integration, vetting, modification, troubleshooting, and optimization.
* Helps with technical testing, ensuring that the system and unit tests were performed and reviews the test results.
* Provides leadership/guidance to team members. May work as a senior member of a team providing production support for new/existing systems of high complexity and scope.
* Analyzes highly complex business and systems requirements, and designs solutions for data, processes, interfaces, controls, outputs, environment, infrastructure tools/utilities and/or testing that fit within the recommended time frame, architecture, standards and budget.
* Contributes to the creation of the High Level Design Specifications (HLD), and creates the Low Level Design Specifications (LLD), Impact and Risk Analyses, and contributes to project plans and cost estimates. Develops use cases and/or test plan scenarios in addition to those by the Business Analyst to validate programs/application functionality and integration.
* Analyzes results with QA and coordinates with programmer analysts to ensure any defects found during the testing process are documented.
* Contributes to the high level technical design (HDL) based on Functional Specifications (in the enumerated, detailed BRD) and creates Low Level Design Specifications (LLD).
* Follows AXA Equitable Standards, Reference Architecture
Job Requirements:
* Analyzes the "Big Picture" in researching, analyzing, and designing solutions that can be reused and interoperable.
* This requires a clear understanding of industry trends, tools, application design in Financial Services and how AXA can best leverage them.
* Frequently interacts with own team, direct manager, and peers throughout IT and their staff.
* Occasional to frequent interaction with business unit customers and vendors depending on assignment.
* Occasional interaction with IT Senior Executives. Often supports business case by providing analysis of cost savings for Governance.
* Interacts with business leaders and analysts as required.
* Responsible for design specifications of one or more large or critical applications or systems.
* Provides technical, functional and systems design for all work related to a system development project.
* Exhibits creative problem solving and leadership in analysis, development, and design.
* Maintains detailed knowledge of the current technology and infrastructure.
* Verifies that code and data quality standards are being adhered to.
* Accountable for the activities of a diverse professional staff within IT or on a project.
* Has decision-making capability and authority across multiple projects.
* May provide significant input to financial and HR functions associated with technical design or development.
* Ability to lead other Systems Analysts.
* 6-12 years general IT experience 3+ years Systems Analysis experience
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
* Solid knowledge of Life Insurance products and the applications supporting Life Insurance
