Overview:

Agfa Corporation's plate manufacturing facility located in Branchburg, New Jersey produces analog as well as thermal, visible light and chemistry-free digital plates that offer advanced solutions for different printing applications. Approximately 180 employees in manufacturing, engineering support and other administrative and production support functions work in this facility.

Our Branchburg, NJ location is looking for a Reliability Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

The purpose and scope of this role is to provide technical support to the production and facilities operations and to initiate, prioritize, and execute engineering and maintenance work to improve safety, cost, capacity, and quality. This role will lead engineering reliability work related to technical documentation, spare parts, and process improvement projects. Key to success in this role will be to leverage technical data and analysis to implement changes related to process and product control. All of this will be achieved through close interaction with plant leadership, financial controllers, planner schedulers, maintenance, and production operators and supervisors.

Support, facilitate and lead process improvements with emphasis on reducing variation, improving product consistency, improving productivity, and reducing production costs. Ensure engineering work is completed to Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, & Control (DMAIC) standard, follows change management process, is completed on-time, and in-budget.

Lead teams in Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Kaizen, and Root Cause Analysis

Using conceptual design and data collection and analysis, perform engineering calculations that support mathematical models to solve operating problems and optimize line operations

Lead resolution of technical issues which pose immediate threat to continuity of production cost/quality/capacity. Escalate and leverage global engineering experts as needed

Manage small and medium sized process and product improvement projects

Support and facilitate the initiation, prioritization, and execution of critical process maintenance work

* Developing and implementing process control techniques and procedures into manufacturing environments.
* Conferring with vendors in determining product specifications and arranging equipment, parts, or material purchase, and evaluating products according to quality standards and specifications.
* Creating and maintaining accurate documentation of drawings, design concepts, work orders, and concepts in accordance with the Total Quality Management (TQM) and quality assurance functions.

Qualifications:

Education

Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) required.

Experience

Minimum 8-10 Years in a Engineering Role in a Production Environment required.
