Responsibilities
The Operations Specialist III performs high level specialized operational securities processing activities in support of the firm s business lines. S/he is a subject matter specialist typically dealing with moderately complex issues as they relate to processing security transactions that settle within BBH s sub custodian network. These activities include; resolving trade problems, assisting others, settling transactions, client contact (internal and external) along with share and cash reconciliation. These activities would take place within the Trade Settlement, specifically the International Settlements Group.
Responsibilities:
Problem/Conflict Resolution
Monitor and assist in the resolution of sub custodian trade issues and inquiries by Clients, RM s and Brokers
Interact with other BBH departments on resolution of issues
Communicate professionally and constructively to effectively resolve issues in order to minimize risk and exposure as it relates to highly valued international trades
Escalate to the Supervisor any potential exposure items on trades not settling by deadline or trades being held overnight.
Daily cash and security reconciliation with our sub custodian network banks.
Workflow Management
Coordinate control/production related activities such as viewing trade settlement queues, trade status queues and the International Mailbox.
Help to ensure all International Settlement deadlines and requirements are being met.
Provide timely and accurate responses to trade inquiries such as; fail trade research, trade copies, Trade Status, and Market Practice requirements.
Facilitate handoff of daily work between shifts
Client Relations
Provide superior client service
Build and maintain relationships at all levels both within and outside the organization.

Assist team members with day to day activities/provide back-up support.

Qualifications
BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.
1 to 2 years of International Securities Settlements experience
Proven knowledge of one or more product areas within Operations and its process.
Ability to perform technical responsibilities of the job with a high level of competence.
Aptitude for thorough and timely research, analysis and resolution of a problem.
Ability to communicate professionally through effective verbal and written skills.
Strong organizational skills with an ability to work in a team environment
Ability to multi-task and effectively juggle assignments.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Proactive self starter who is detail and goal oriented.
