Jobing Description

Responsible for driving sales activity by proactively and reactively marketing Transamerica as a premier provider of qualified retirement plans. This is accomplished by initiating and growing new broker relationships, demonstrating excellent problem solving skills and promoting the sale of Transamerica Retirement Services products.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and implement business and sales strategies in partnership with the External Wholesaler to market yourself and the Transamerica brand within a defined sales territory, and with a focus on surpassing all sales goals
Responsible for pre-sale consulting with the External Wholesaler, Financial Advisors and Third Party Administrators regarding retirement plan products, plan design, plan pricing, our service model and standards
Generate new leads and follow up on existing opportunities with the intent to move the sales process forward, coordinate pre-sale service and deliverables while managing the frequency and consistency of support in your defined territory
Demonstrate the ability to build effective business relationships with External Wholesalers, Financial Advisors and Third Party Administrators
Collaborate with other Internal Wholesalers to foster a strong team environment, operate with a sense of urgency at all times and be flexible and accurate in a fast paced changing environment
Demonstrate ownership and commitment to continued learning within Transamerica, the retirement industry and our competitive landscape
Proactively drive sales through a high activity model of outbound conversations with Financial Advisors, while adhering to the highest levels of integrity and professional conduct
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
We are looking for a person with these required skills and education

Minimum of 3 years in the Qualified Plan industry preferred; Call center and sales support experience a plus
NASD Series 6 and 63 required within 120 days of employment
Life Agent License in primary state conducting business in within 120 days of employment
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions and all safety rules
Ability to effectively handle multiple projects while meeting related deadlines
Strong interpersonal abilities and ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful and flexible
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Preferred skills include

Bachelors degree preferred, or equivalent industry experience
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in the Qualified Plan industry
Call center and sales support experience a plus
